To the Editor,
Head and neck cancer (HNC) is the seventh most prevalent cancer worldwide.1 With the rapid development of medical technology
in recent years, radiotherapy has become the main method for HNC.
By utilizing the radiation damage effect of radiation on tumor cells,
the structure of tumor cells is destroyed, thereby achieving the goal
of killing tumor cells and controlling tumor lesions.2 However, in
the process of radiation therapy, the patient's fear of disease and
pain during treatment can stimulate negative emotions such as
anxiety and depression, may affect the patient's prognosis.3 However, traditional nursing methods cannot provide systematic and
targeted all-round nursing interventions, so the nursing effect of
traditional nursing models on HNC is unsatisfactory.4 Currently, humanized care has a better impact in stroke patients, but there are
few studies on its application effect on patients with head and
neck tumors.5 This study hypothesized that humanized nursing
can improve self-efficacy and help improve the psychological state
of HNC patients.
